Lucy Buffett has selected a new President and Chief Operating Officer for her restaurant group, and it’s someone well known in Alabama’s coastal culinary scene.
Buffett has LuLu’s restaurants in Gulf Shores, Ala.; Destin, Fla.; and North Myrtle Beach, S.C. They’ll now fall under the oversight of Mobile native Johnny Fisher, who has some experience with LuLu’s, having managed the Gulf Shores restaurant from 2005 to 2012.
“I am thrilled to have Johnny Fisher take the helm of LuLu’s,” Buffett said in a company announcement released Monday. “There is no question that he was responsible for putting our Gulf Shores LuLu’s on the map during his tenure as GM. Now, in his capacity as President and COO overseeing all my restaurants, there’s no question that he will maintain and grow our long-standing reputation and tradition as destination restaurants where families come for our unique experience, exceptional Gulf Coast food, and fun-filled, musical entertainment. This is his specialty.”

Prior to 2012, Fisher had been director or restaurant operations at the House of Blues in New Orleans. His ventures since 2012 have included co-founding and co-owning The Gulf restaurant, Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina, and Playa, all in Orange Beach; and working as Director of Florida Operations for Juan’s Flying Burrito, a chain based in New Orleans.
