FARRELL, Pa. (WKBN) – Wilmington scored early and often during a 49-14 win over Reynolds in the District 10 1A semifinals on Saturday night.
The Greyhounds scored two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters, led by Chase Mitcheltree (94 rushing yards, two TDs) and Cael Kettering (89 yards, two TDs) on the ground as the team picked up more than 310 rushing yards.
Wilmington quarterback Wesley Vass-Gal completed 4-of-6 passes for 63 yards and two touchdowns while wideout Freddie Zehetner hauled in all four of those completions.
Zehetner also added 49 rushing yards on one carry and two interceptions on defense.
Reynolds was paced by Gabe Minjarez and his team-high 112 total yards and a rushing touchdown as the Raiders season comes to an end with a 6-6 record.
With the win, the Greyhounds improve to 7-2 and will now advance to the D-10 1A championship game against the winner of Greenville/Cambridge Springs on either Nov. 15 or 16.
