There has been an uproar in the travel sector about the new travel restrictions that Spain is introducing for tourists. Hotels, bungalow parks, campsites and car rental companies will have to provide a ‘huge laundry list’ of customer data from 1 October, including bank account, telephone number and passport details, according to the Dutch newspaper ‘De Telegraaf’. There is still a lot of uncertainty about how this should be done.
