Since the start of the Culling Games Arc, Gege portrayed Sukuna as a true calamity, an opponent of unmatched strength.

Spoiler Alert !!!

Spoilers Ahead of Jujutsu Kaisen Manga!!

Sadly, Sukuna’s long-anticipated end was concluded in a single chapter, leaving many fans bitterly disappointed. While JJK fans are a bit upset by Sukuna’s demise, Gege Akutami messed up the biggest catastrophic event that readers were very excited to witness. Introduced in JJK Season 2, Kenjaku is an ancient and powerful jujutsu sorcerer who has lived for over 1000 years using his innate technique.

Kenjaku is regarded as a genius and a master manipulator, as evidenced by his role during the Culling Games Arc. For over 1000 years, Kenjaku has been plotting to evolve the human species through a massive surge of cursed energy. His evil plan was to merge humanity with Tengen and let chaos take over the world. Unfortunately, Kenjaku’s master plan was never fully executed, though it had the potential to surpass the fan-favorite Shibuya Arc, as Jujutsu sorcerers had to unite once more to stop the Merger.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Most Devastating Event Could Have Made the Final Arc Unmissable

To kick off his 1000-year long-awaited plan, Kenjaku sealed Gojo Satoru to start the Culling Games. The Six Eye user was the only individual who became a hindrance in Kenjaku’s evil plans. He revealed that he intends to give birth to a new kind of Cursed Energy and has been living in shadows for 1000 years to see his plan come to fruition.

Kenjaku explained that he wanted to merge Tengen with the mass of non-sorcerers to form an Uzumaki-like kind of new creature. Back in JJK Season 2 when Gege introduced fans to Gojo’s Past Arc, the Six Eye user’s team was assigned a mission by Master Tengen. The mission was to escort the new Star Plasma Vessel to Tokyo Jujutsu High and let Tengen merge with the vessel.

Unfortunately, the Star Plasma Vessel was killed by Toji Fushiguro, resulting in Gojo and Geto’s initial taste of defeat. After failing to merge with Star Plasma Vessel Riko Amanai, Tengen underwent the evolution process, making them a cursed spirit. It’s later revealed that it was Kenjaku who plotted the Star plasma vessel’s assassination to stimulate Tengen’s evolution to be used as a curse.

Later, during the Culling Games Arc, Kenjaku revealed his grandiose scheme to fuse Master Tengen and the non-sorcerers of Japan to bring a monstrous curse into this world, simply because it seemed like fun. JJK fans were convinced that the Merger would be the final arc after Sukuna as Gege wouldn’t let Kenjaku’s hundreds of years of efforts go to waste.

The much-awaited Merger never took place, leaving many fans a bit upset with the mangaka’s rushed narrative for the final chapters. Were you excited about Tengen’s merger with humanity?
