An 82-year-old man died early Friday morning following a fire in a mobile home in Birmingham.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said Harold Edward Wright died following a fire in the 3600 block of Field Street in Birmingham.
The fire was reported at about 5 a.m.
Graysville Fire & Rescue and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call.
Upon arrival, first responders found Wright’s body inside the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause and origin of the fire is being investigated by the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Wright’s death is being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
