We May Already Know Space Marine 3’s Final Villain

Space Marine 3 is already making enough buzz after the gaming community powered through the single-player story mode of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. The sequel was a long time coming, and the game developers of Saber Interactive took their sweet time to perfect this project and gave the Warhammer franchise the respect it deserves.

While it is too early to say, the success of the latest installment has almost guaranteed the possibility of another sequel and players are convinced that the developers have already planted seeds.

Sequels are all the rage nowadays and the game developers would be wise to think ahead. Some players took the time to explore certain biomes and found evidence of what could be the next big threat in the Warhammer franchise.

The Necrons Are Guaranteed to Appear in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 3

The gaming community had high expectations for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 and it is safe to assume the feedback has been through the roof. The game did so well that many players are already experiencing issues relating to the multiplayer component which can be viewed as the game doing incredibly well, and the servers got overwhelmed by the daily active player count, or the developers of Saber Interactive severely underestimated its success.

Regardless, the fans are convinced that Space Marine 3 is not too far off after the developers planted some seeds in Space Marine 2 and gave the gaming community a glimpse of the future. While the single-player story mode had a decent length, the game developers thought of clever ways to secretly embed easter eggs and references for the next major installment and subtly hinted at the next villain: the Necrons.

This discovery didn’t shock everyone, especially after going through a tomb filled to the brim with Necron carvings and technology solidifying the enemy faction’s future presence. Perhaps the game developers are planting seeds for the future and thought this detail would fly over the heads of casual players who will not think much about it.

Perhaps Saber Interactive is saving the good stuff for special occasions and is unwilling to share everything the studio has in store. The game developers are being too tight-lipped about some content being omitted like hiding certain weapons from the early content creators promoting the Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 through live streams on their respective platforms and channels.

There is no telling where the game developers will take the story of Space Marine 3 with the Necrons involved. Hopefully, Saber Interactive will continue to maintain the quality and momentum of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 in succeeding sequels.

The Necrons, a faction within the Warhammer universe, are not malevolent entirely; however, their possession of a superiority complex makes them a formidable threat to the integrity of the Warhammer franchise. This ancient civilization once had total control of the entire universe and their objective is to bring order and stability through the rule of their iron fist.

The game developers have limited options for the franchise’s direction; however, they are rich in lore from other projects. This is the major advantage that the Warhammer franchise has that others do not and Saber Interactive can freely take inspiration from its history.

The Necrons have been lying dormant for quite a while and there is a reckoning once they have awakened. This enemy faction with a high opinion of itself will bring pain and suffering to the Space Marines.

Focus Entertainment knew Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 would be a great and worthy experience and engaged with the gaming community days before launch day. The hype and excitement were unlike any other and this enthusiasm will likely carry over to the development of Space Marine 3.

Saber Interactive has set the stage for the future, and the triumph of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has paved the way for the potential success of Space Marine 3. It is hoped that the game developers can craft another compelling and engaging storyline for the next installment.
