As hyper-cheerful as his characters on screen in ‘De Kotmadam’ and ‘W817’, how quiet and dark it really was in his head. Aron Wade (54) struggled with depression for years because of his battered body. As a child he suffered severe burns, as an adult he struggled with rheumatism. But the sudden death of his father made it black for good. “I could live another 30 years, but I don’t have the energy anymore”, and with those words the former actor and author chose euthanasia.
