Birmingham-based Ghost Train Brewing has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

According to court documents filed on Sept. 4, the business stated it has $9.3 million in total liabilities, with $1.6 million in total property holdings.

The business also has $3.04 million in nonpriority unsecured claims and $303,578 in priority unsecured claims.

A sign on the Brewery at 3501 First Ave. S. read: “Our Apologies – Ghost Train will be temporarily closed, to make exciting changes. Updates coming soon!”

Ghost Train had operated at the First Avenue South location since 2022. Prior to that, it had been since 2016 at 2616 3rd Ave S., which is now occupied by Uproot.
