Bloomsburg holds a 12-4 all-time advantage, having won 11 of the last twelve meetings in the series.

…Slippery Rock snapped its 11-game losing skid to Bloomsburg by downing the Huskies, 28-26, in 2014. The Rock held off a late rally by Bloomsburg to post the 2-point win. Both teams combined for 945 total yards of offense (508 SRU; 437 Bloom) while each quarterback (Jared Buck, SRU – 256; Tim Kelly, Bloom – 293) threw for over 250-yards. The Rock’s Shamar Greene eclipsed the century mark also (116 yards) on the ground.

-After a 3-1 start, the Bloomsburg Huskies fell in three straight games (to Kutztown, East Stroudsburg and Lock Haven) before rebounding to post victories in their last three matchups.
-Last Saturday, on Senior Day, the Huskies came away with an 8-point win over Millersville. Quarterback KJ Riley (Danville HS, PA) threw for 321 yards on 13 completions and 2 scores; he also gained 87 yards on the ground and tallied an additional 3 touchdowns as well. Jerry Griffen-Batchler (Germantown Academy) hauled in 6 catches for 209 yards (2 TDs).
-KJ Riley has completed 62.2% of his passes (115-185) this season while connecting on 1891 yards. He also leads the team in rushing with 284 yards. Jerry Griffen-Batchler has been his favorite receiving target as he has collected 46 receptions for 816 yards and 8 touchdowns.
-Bloomsburg’s defensive line coach Greg Kahn will return to his alma mater at SRU as he played under George Mihalik following his graduation from Selinsgrove High School.
-Slippery Rock is 4-0 this season in games played at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.
-Since dropping its matchup at California (PA), 28-7, on October 19 – The Rock has rebounded to register back-to-back 38-point performances against Clarion (38-22) and Seton Hill (38-20).
-In their last game, Slippery Rock went from leading by 3 (17-14) midway through the quarter against Seton Hill to put together an 18-point victory (38-20) thanks to a trio of scores by Brayden Long (2 touchdown passes and a run). Kylon Wilson (Farrell HS) also returned the opening second half kickoff, 97-yards to paydirt. The Rock had a balanced offensive attack of 238 yards rushing and 248 yards passing in the contest.
-Brayden Long (New Oxford HS) has thrown for more than 300-yards in 2 of his last four games including a 399-yard outing at Clarion. For the season, No. 18 has amassed 2219 yards through the air while connecting on 19 touchdowns and just 4 interceptions on 285 pass attempts. He’s targeted Kylon Wilson (38 catches, 510 yards), Kam Kruzelyak (30-256), Mike Solomon (25-409) and running back Chris D’Or (21-203) the most. D’Or (Greenacres, FL) also lead the team in rushing with 606 yards (3 TDs). Idris Lawrence (Pickerington North) isn’t far behind with 572 rushing yards also.
-Todd Hill (6 QB sacks, 12.5 TFL) and Munchie Johnson (3 ½ QB sacks, 10.5 TFL) lead an aggressive defensive unit that held its first three opponents (New Haven, Shepherd, Shippensburg) this year to 10-points or less.
-SRU’s coach Shawn Lutz has accumulated a 78-20 mark in his 9 years at the helm.
