PlayStation is back at it again. It has just announced the release of a remastered version of Horizon Zero Dawn on PC. However, the news of the release was not taken nicely, especially after what PlayStation asks you to do in order to play the game on PC.

It is the same debacle again that we saw with Helldivers 2 and God of War Ragnarok. It seems like PlayStation refuses to learn from its mistake and forces your throat, yet again, with the same review killing restriction seen before.

Sony Does Not Seem To Learn From Its Mistakes

Horizon Zero Dawn suffers the same fate as God of War Raganrok and Helldivers 2 on PC. It is confirmed that the game will require a PSN account to be played, which is Sony’s most annoying addition for PC users. It is also the major cause of criticism for all PlayStation originals coming to PC.

Fans have been creating mods to bypass the PSN account requirement for single-player games, including God of War Ragnarok, but multiplayer titles like Helldivers still suffer a bad fate. This was one of the major reasons why Helldivers 2 did not do well in the PC market.

It seems like the restrictions are a reminder that Sony exclusives are still supreme. Sony’s inclusivity policies have always been a major issue in the gaming market. The PS exclusives have always been considered to be non-inclusive. There has been no effort from the company’s end to make amends even now, after facing much criticism for the same.

It is not certain what the future holds for PlayStation exclusives on PC, but it can be said with certainty that if these restrictions persist, then there is no doubt about the downfall of these games on PC.

Horizon Zero Dawn Might Not Be Worth Upgrading

Some players claim that the remastered version looks worse than the PS4 version. The current version of the game looks brilliant on PC, and it can be played at high frame rates on most modern machines. The remastered version is set to enhance models, animations, lighting, and more.

Despite the good-looking visuals, the requirement of a PSN account to play has put the game in a tight spot. On top of that, players are also not happy with paying an additional $10 for the upgrades. Players who do not own the game will have to pay the entire amount.

The remaster will be released on October 31st at an additional amount. There is a high chance that someone will mod this game to work without the PSN account as well. This has made one thing certain: if PC players want to enjoy a PS exclusive, they will have to go out of their way either by adding a PSN account or modding the game.
