Alabama football injury report: Latest on Kendrick Law after Georgia game

Alabama football pulled off a narrow win on Saturday, fighting off a furious Georgia comeback attempt in the fourth quarter to take a 41-34 victory at Bryant-Denny Stadium. However, the Crimson Tide saw one of its top wide receivers leave the game with an injury.

Kendrick Law left the game hobbling, and did not return. After the game, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said Law suffered a “lower-body injury,” but couldn’t elaborate on how long it might sideline the junior.

“I don’t know what he’ll be,” DeBoer said. “But it’s unfortunate, because I thought he really had a great week or two of practice and kept building too, a lot. He was really juiced up before the game.”

Law had one catch on Saturday, for 19 yards. He’s also one of the Crimson Tide’s top run-blockers.

DeBoer praised Law’s performance before he left the game.

“Thought he was doing some good job as far as just helping our offense,” DeBoer said. “It might not be things that show up on the stat sheet, but unfortunately he was not able to be there with us throughout the whole game.”

Alabama led 30-7 at the half, but the Bulldogs came roaring back, talking a lead late in the fourth quarter. However, a circus deep catch for a touchdown by wide receiver Ryan Williams and an interception by Zabien Brown preserved the win late.

The Crimson Tide travels to Vanderbilt next Saturday.
