She was born almost a decade before the first Miss Universe pageant in 1952: Choi Soon-hwa, the 80-year-old South Korean candidate. Earlier this month it was announced that she will be one of the finalists in her own country on Monday. On Monday, she will compete with 31 other contestants for a chance to represent South Korea at the Miss Universe finals in Mexico.
