The latest AP top 25 poll dropped Sunday, and to no surprise, Alabama football has moved up after it beat Georgia.
To the very top, actually. The Crimson Tide now ranks No. 1 in the AP top 25. Alabama was ranked No. 4 coming into the matchup.
The Crimson Tide is fresh off a 41-34 victory over the Bulldogs on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Georgia entered the game ranked No. 2 in the AP top 25 behind Texas.
Now, the Bulldogs fall to No. 5, and Alabama leaps the Longhorns, who rank No. 2.
The Crimson Tide almost squandered a 30-7 halftime lead against Georgia as the Bulldogs came back in the second half. Then some heroics from Ryan Williams and Zabien Brown saved Alabama in the end.
This week, the Crimson Tide will travel to face Vanderbilt on the road. It also has matchups upcoming against No. 4 Tennessee, No. 9 Missouri, No. 13 LSU and No. 19 Oklahoma this season.
