Running back Tank Bigsby’s best game as a pro couldn’t keep the Jacksonville Jaguars from dropping to 0-4 for the 2024 NFL season.
Bigsby ran for 90 yards on seven carries in the Jaguars’ 24-20 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday.
After running for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 50 carries as a third-round rookie in 2023, Bigsby opened the 2024 campaign with a career-best 73 yards on 12 rushing attempts in a 20-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 8.
In surpassing that on Sunday, Bigsby also surpassed the 26-yard run he had in that game with a career-long carry of 58 yards against the Texans.
The 58-yard run put Jacksonville on the Houston 4-yard line in the third quarter. But trailing 20-17, the Texans turned back the Jaguars on downs on the first play of the fourth quarter, and Bigsby did not carry the football in the remainder of the game.
Bigsby was among the 16 former Auburn players who got on the field on the fourth Sunday of the NFL’s 105th season.
