Henry Cavill’s Favorite Netflix Series Beats One Piece and Demon Slayer Budget to Become World’s Most Expensive Animated Show

In a shocking revelation, Hollywood’s one of the most famous actors, Henry Cavill confesses that he absolutely loves the latest animated series done by Netflix, Arcane. We all know Cavill for his iconic roles in Netflix’s The Witcher and DC’s Superman, but who could’ve guessed he had such a fascination with this particular show?

In a recent interview, he shared his amazement when he first found out about this show that is based on the rich lore of League of Legends. His feelings were mutual and resonated deeply with all fans of this one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The excitement that Cavill harbors is truly worth all, as Arcane quite literally stands tall above all other anime series like Demon Slayer, and One Piece, with its humongous production values.

You Cannot Even Imagine How Much It Costs to Make Each Season of Arcane!

Arcane has truly broken the general conception of how high the production costs for an animated series can be; the sum that has been spent on two seasons is $250 Million ($125M for each season), which is far more expensive than any animated series in history! If it’s broken down, then that is approximately $13.89 Million for each episode of Season 1 – a number that’s actually difficult to fathom!

The exceptional animation quality and unique art style may offer a glimpse of its high production values, but the bill still is jaw-dropping. Every minute detail, from complex scenery designs to the creation of aesthetically vibrant characters is just perfect in Arcane. Certain scenes of the series are like art pieces from an exclusive art gallery, as flawless as the creators could make it.

And that’s not all! It also has some of the most mind-blowing soundtracks, that would speak to your soul. While most of the popular anime franchises have an incredibly large production budget, Arcane’s spending still remains unparalleled.

From the get-go, Netflix was willing to splurge big on this series, and it certainly paid off. Such an insane production value has truly raised a whole new bar for storytelling animation, one that would be quite hard to overthrow in the coming years.

Arcane’s Production Values Are Incomparable to Any Other Animated Series To Date

To put Arcane’s jaw-dropping budget into perspective, one should note what each of the most famous anime series spends per episode. According to some trusted sources like DualShockers and ScreenRant; One Piece shells out $90,000 for an episode, Demon Slayer $80,000 for an episode, and Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War shells out $160,000 for an episode.

Even multiplying that by their respective episode count per season it barely compares to Arcane’s $250 Million budget. Arcane’s cinematic quality throughout the series, intricate storytelling, and extremely immersive world-building – all of which have set a new standard for future animated shows, be it anime or not!

The cliffhanger at the end of Season 1 has further kept fans waiting for Season 2. The way Jinx journeyed to choose her own path between her sister’s love and Silco’s manipulative emotional control reached its boiling point in Season 1.

However, the final twist came out to be quite shocking as Jinx accidentally killed Silco. And now people can’t wait to find out what happens next. With its gripping narrative and insane production values, Arcane Season 2 is set to give another visual feast that people will most likely never forget.

Arcane Season 1 is available to watch on Netflix, with Season 2’s first episode also out now.
