Bigfoot report logged in CT. Here’s what it says

A posting on The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization website details a report by an individual who claims to have heard “short duration screaming/long-duration whooping after midnight” in Connecticut on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

The report is logged under Fairfield County in Connecticut, with GPS coordinates of 41.338269,-73.261060. The howls were heard between Botsford and Upper Stepney, according to the report.

The individual goes on to say in the report that “the sound direction seemed as it was from the Northeast of coords. It was not a bobcat/fox/coyote. I live out west, CA to be specific, and I’m well acquainted with coyotes, bobcats, and cougars and their vocalizations. This voice had quite a bit of ‘power’ behind it and I could tell that it was carried over distance. I would ‘rough’ guesstimate at least two klicks from my coords.

“Vocal pattern would be roughly 10 seconds of vocalization then stop. This repeated four or five times that I was aware of. It may have been going on prior to me noticing it.”

A fresh take on the adult playground is coming to CT. Think pizza, beer and interactive challenges

The individual noted in the report that dogs in the area started barking when the vocalizations ended. They could also hear owls ten minutes after the vocalizations ended.

The individual matched the vocalizations they heard with recordings on YouTube, which they believe “match a couple/few that I’ve heard before.”

The report finishes noting that there were no other witnesses, with clear to partly cloudy conditions in a forested environment.

The site also notes other “sightings”:

“July 2022, Litchfield County (Class B) – Retired Police officer hears whoops on Lake Zoar/Housatonic River, Sandy Hook CT
February 2022, Fairfield County (Class A) – Resident observes a sasquatch chasing herd of deer east of Bethel

August 2018 (Class A) – Afternoon sighting by motorist, Wilbur Cross Parkway, approx midway between Berlin and Woodbridge
August 1986 (Class B) – Whoops and knocks heard by four locals camping north of Bristol.”
