Sandra Bullock has a lot to say about Hugh Grant’s underrated comedic genius. In a candid chat with blackfilm.com, Bullock highlighted how Grant’s effortless charm often leads to him being overlooked for the recognition he deserves. She asserted, shedding light on the problem with comedy:

The unfortunate thing with Hugh is that he’s brilliant at what he does and he makes it look so easy that he hasn’t gotten the credit for how great he is, and that’s the problem with comedy.

The people who are great at it like he is will never get recognized because he makes it look so easy, and I thought that I was knit picky and neurotic about staying on something until you’ve drained it of every last possibility, but he’s astounding.

Their chemistry in Two Weeks Notice was undeniable. Bullock recalled their easy bond and how their quirky, neurotic personalities worked perfectly together. “We got along great,” she shared. Yet, she admitted that while they both had big egos, it was that perfect storm of personalities that made the film work.

Grant’s approach to his craft impressed Bullock. Despite making it look effortless, he wasn’t just breezing through lines. He’d take his stuff pretty seriously. But beneath the comedic genius was a genuinely caring and nurturing side, something that the public often misses.

At the end of the day, Sandra Bullock’s message is clear: Hugh Grant is brilliant, but comedy’s subtlety often keeps its stars in the shadows.

In the wake of Bryan Randall’s tragic passing, Nicole Kidman’s been a rock for Sandra Bullock. As they gear up for Practical Magic 2, Kidman’s tough-love approach has been exactly what Sandy needed. “There’s no competition between them, just a lot of mutual respect,” a source shared, highlighting their close bond.

Following the loss, Bullock shifted focus to family, especially her kids, Louis and Laila. But Practical Magic 2 offered the perfect opportunity for a fresh start. Kidman, determined to bring a Beetlejuice-style energy to the sequel, has become a guiding influence in Bullock’s recovery, both on and off set.
