Police asking for help identifying suspects in burglary at CT smoke shop

Police are asking the public for help identifying a number of suspects in a burglary at a smoke shop in Bridgeport in September.

The incident was reported on Sept. 23 around 12:40 a.m. when a patrol officer was alerted to an altercation in front of the S & B Smoke Shop at 1224 Park Ave., according to Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police Department.

Gilleran said an investigation found that the smoke shop had just been burglarized, as an employee allegedly saw someone stealing several items and chased him into the street. Security camera footage that was reviewed showed at least two additional suspects, according to Gilleran.
