Kate Upton sparked concern after she asked her social media followers for advice about a cryptic scenario involving a “drunk and high” dad who seemingly put his child in harm’s way.
The Sports Illustrated supermodel, 32, began her post via an Instagram Story Friday, writing, “Truly asking … lawyers/judges/advocates/law enforcement/ parents.”
Upton then described a situation, in which a “dad,” who is “recently out of rehab,” is traveling alone with his 10-year-old daughter.
“He gets drunk and high on pills, saying he has a gun on him, and threatens to SHOOT the taxi driver if he does NOT drop them off on the highway at midnight to walk home,” she added.
“Thankfully, the taxi driver refuses and would rather be shot than drop the little girl off on the highway.”
The “Other Woman” star concluded her mysterious post by asking, “Is this an emergency? A crime? Would you be scared for your child?” alongside a comment box for “feedback.”
Since sharing that message, Upton has not provided further context about the post, and it’s unclear whether it relates to a matter she has personally experienced.
Her rep did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Upton has been married to MLB star Justin Verlander since 2017. Although the couple does not have a 10-year-old daughter — as mentioned in the scenario — they do share a 6-year-old named Genevieve.
There have not been any rumblings of marital strife, and the last time Upton posted about Verlander, 41, on her Instagram all seemed well.
In a slideshow from Feb. 10, the “Layover” actress shared photos from a fun family vacation to Blackberry Mountain, in which she and her spouse were seen all cozy on the couch with their daughter.
Verlander, for his part, has not posted a response to his wife’s latest Instagram Story. His rep could also not be reached.
