Hunter rescued by Calcutta Fire Department after falling off cliff

NEGLEY, Ohio (WKBN) — The Calcutta Fire Department rescued a hunter who fell off a cliff in Negley on Saturday morning, according to the department’s Facebook page.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. deep in the woods of the Amarillo Avenue neighborhood near Beaver Creek State Park Equestrian Campground. The hunter had a broken leg but was safely transported out of the woods to get medical help.

Calcutta crews had help from Glenmoor Vol Fire Department, East Liverpool dispatch and other departments’ police officers and EMTs.
