YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Sunday was Mahoning Valley Irish Festival’s third annual Christmas in Killarney at Penguin City Brewing Co.
The event featured a brunch from Bring Your Own Breakfast with corned beef hash and specialty drinks, including mimosas, Irish coffee and cranberry mules.
There were over 50 vendors, live fiddle music and free pictures from Santa. Guests also had a chance to participate in a basket raffle.
“We have such a community. There are so many friendships that have been built with the festival. Really, really truly it is so wonderful to see everybody, but then there’s always new friendship being fostered as well — not just among vendors and staff of the festival, but it’s among everybody. Everyone can have a common ground here,” said event organizer Shannon Lehn.
The event also collected non-perishable food items, unwrapped toys and new personal care items to help benefit organizations such as St. Vincent de Paul Society and Thrive 10:10.
