LOWELLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) –After opening the season with a 2-5 mark, the Rockets closed out the year by winning 12 of its last sixteen games to finish tied atop the MVAC Scarlet Tier.
However, the Rockets lost all five starters from that team.
Juniors Josh Pazel and Drew Modelski return as letter winners while Nate Yon, Vince Sullivan, Liam Bartlett, Ricky Willrich and Carter Miller will all be asked to contribute the team this winter.
“We’ll look to utilize out height and quickness [this season] as our strengths,” says coach Tony Matisi, the longtime area girls coach who has won over 500-games throughout his illustrious career. “We expect to compete for a league title and to win the district.”
On Saturday, December 7 – the Rockets will tip off the season against Valley Christian.
