A LEGO Mona Lisa set has been mocked online — because people think it looks like Jimmy Carr.
The puzzle is meant to represent the world famous Leonardo Da Vinci painting but critics say it looks more like the block headed comic.
One fan called Robert posted on social media: “I recognised this face immediately but it ain’t the Mona Lisa – it’s Jimmy Carr.”
Another added: “Look’s like he’s trying to remember if he left the gas on in the kitchen. Dressed as the Mona Lisa.”
An amused LEGO builder joked: “They’ve created the Mona Lis-Carr. I’m sure Jimmy will be delighted.”
The 1,503-piece kit has been advertised for adults by the Danish toy giant, who claimed it was “designed to delight and spark curiosity”.
LEGO has previously enjoyed hits with Van Gogh’s Starry Night, selling for £150.
Da Vinci’s original depicts Italian noblewoman Lisa del Giocondo.
It held the Guinness World Record for the highest known replacement value in history at US$100 million, in 1962 – or £1.8bn in today money.
