A two-alarm fire that prompted mutual aid from several area fire departments was quickly put out at an apartment complex in Bloomfield on Sunday.
Fire crews responded to the blaze on Barry Circle just before 3:50 p.m. and found heavy fire coming from the second floor of the building, according to the Bloomfield Center Fire Department.
Crews from Bloomfield Center as well as the Blue Hills Fire Department were the first to respond before a second alarm was activated, fire officials said. Task Force 52 then responded, which includes firefighters from the Windsor, Windsor Locks, East Granby Volunteer, Bradley, Suffield and the Connecticut Air National Guard Fire Departments.
Crews from the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company provided station coverage.
The blaze was quickly brought under control. No injuries were reported, fire officials said.
The fire remains under investigation by the Blue Hills Fire Department Fire Marshals Office.
