PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – Ari Alexander of KPRC2 is reporting that the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed right-handed pitcher Yerry Rodriguez to a minor league contract.
The deal includes an invitation to Major League Spring Training.
The 27-year old spent parts of the last three seasons in Major League Baseball.
He split the 2024 season between the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays.
Rodriguez posted a record of 1-0 with an 8.72 ERA last season. He appeared in 16 total games, striking out 5 batters in 21.2 innings of work.
In three seasons in the big leagues, he has pitched a total of 36.1 innings, allowing 33 earned runs on 47 hits with 33 strikeouts.
