Sebring man pleads guilty to sexual conduct with minor

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Sebring man accused of improper conduct with a minor pleaded guilty Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court as jury selection was to begin in his trial.

Bradley Etto, 37, pleaded guilty before Judge Anthony D’Apolito to a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a third-degree felony.

In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dismissed charges of sexual battery, a third-degree felony, and importuning, a fifth-degree felony.

The attorneys in the case are recommending a sentence of two years. Sentencing is set for Jan. 15.

Etto is accused of asking a 14-year-old girl to come to his house in January 2023 in Sebring and asking her to clean it. Reports said he gave the girl whiskey and afterward, the two went to an upstairs room to play video games.

Reports said Etto told the girl he would give her another drink in exchange for sexual contact and the girl declined, saying she was sick. She fell asleep but could feel Etto touching her inappropriately, reports said.

The county Children Services Board was contacted and Etto was arrested in February 2023 and indicted a month later by a grand jury.

Etto will remain free on bond until he is sentenced.

Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Day told the judge the victim and her family were contacted, and they were in approval of the plea.
