“She is so good natured, and I felt very comfortable talking to her.”

Rumeysa, from Turkey, uses a wheelchair but can stand for short periods with a walker.

She said: “It was difficult for us to make eye contact at times due to our height difference but meeting her was so amazing.

“We do have things in common — we both love make-up, self-care and doing our nails.”

The title-holders were honoured as GWR Icons in the latest book, alongside the tallest man, 8ft 3in Turkish farmer Sultan Kosen, 41, and Diana Armstrong, 66, from the US, whose 42ft 10in fingernails are the world’s longest.

Editor-in-chief Craig Glenday said: “The Guinness World Records Icons is all about celebrating differences.”
