SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) — Police this week charged a second suspect in the August shooting death of a man on Ravine Place.
Jamel Jordan, 31, faces charges of criminal homicide, first-degree murder and carrying firearms without a license.
A criminal complaint against Jordan was filed Monday before District Justice Travis P. Martwinski. Jordan has yet to be taken into custody, according to online records at the Mercer County Jail.
Jordan is charged with the shooting death of Terran Page-Hughes, who was shot about 11:55 p.m. Aug. 1 at a home in the 800 block of Ravine Place.
Charged shortly after the death of Page-Hughes was Billy DeWayne Phillips. His case is pending, and he remains in the county jail.
The criminal complaint said that Phillips and Page-Hughes were feuding because they had been dating the same woman, and earlier in the day, Page-Hughes got in a fight with Phillips’ cousin.
Phillips, Jordan and a third person came to the house Page-Hughes was at, the complaint, and Phillips challenged Page-Hughes to a fight. When Page-Hughes came off the porch to fight, he was shot, the complaint said.
The complaint said Jordan and the third suspect moved so they would be behind Page-Hughes “and subsequently began firing multiple shots at him when he was approaching Billy Phillips.”
The three suspects then ran away, the complaint said.
In the days following the shooting, investigators spoke to witnesses and obtained video that placed Jordan at the scene of the crime, the complaint said.
The third suspect named in the complaint has yet to be charged.
