YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Youngstown Police are at the scene of a pursuit turned multi-vehicle crash on McCartney Road.
Witnesses say a U-Haul carrying tires crashed into multiple vehicles just before 7 p.m. at McCartney and 6th Street.
The U-Haul was part of a police pursuit that began in Pennsylvania and ended in Youngstown with the U-Haul hitting several vehicles before crashing into a pole near a car dealership on McCartney.
According to Youngstown police, numerous vehicles were involved in the crash and several people were taken to the hospital but police say they are expected to be ok.
The number of vehicles and injuries is unknown. The crash remains under investigation.
Multiple departments responded to the scene including the Youngstown Police Department, Campbell Police, Coitsville Fire and Youngstown Fire.
