Annual fashion show raises money for local rehabilitation center

Annual fashion show raises money for local rehabilitation center

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – The Warren Junior Women’s League is celebrating more than a half-century of its annual Champagne Luncheon.

More than 400 women attended the event Friday afternoon at the Eastwood Event Centre.

WKBN’s Annie Giovannucci and Abigail Cloutier walked the runway in the fashion show.
This year’s theme was “Winter Elegance, a Frosty Affair.”

Organizers say the luncheon is expected to raise anywhere from $15,000 to $20,000 for the Northeastern Ohio Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Howland.

“They are dear to our hearts, and benefitting them helps families that cannot pay for therapy, and we’re able to help them out with that,” said Rebecca Bucco, chairwoman of the Champagne Luncheon.

In the last 55 years, the luncheon has raised more than $1 million for the community.
