Full list of SPFL pitch inspections and postponements amid Storm Bert chaos with FOUR matches already called off

STORM BERT has hit Scotland – and there’s already been disruption to Saturday’s busy fixture card.

There’s yellow and amber weather warnings in place across much of the country – with particular problems forecast for the Perthshire and Dundee area.

The Met Office is currently predicting a “multi-hazard event” today, with foot-deep snow, torrential rain and coastal winds gusting to 70mph.

This morning could see the coldest temperature of 2024 should the mercury fall below -14C (6.8F).

It remains to be seen how this will affect a packed Scottish fixture card, but this is SunSport’s one-stop shop for the chaos.

And there’s already been FOUR matches lost to the weather – with the Championship clash between Morton and Partick Thistle just going off following an 11am inspection.

Kelty HeartsLeague one clash against Arbroath is called off too after clashes at Bonnyrigg Rose and Elgin City went the same way, with an inspection due shortly in Alloa.

While every top flight ground is fitted with undersoil heating, the likes of St Johnstone take on Kilmarnock at McDiarmid Park today, with Motherwell fans facing an arduous journey up to Dingwall to take on Ross County.

St Mirren have put out a plea for volunteers to help clear the pitch and surrounding areas with a view to getting their clash with Aberdeen played.

There’s two evening games too, with Dundee hosting Hibs in a televised clash from Dens Park and Rangers facing their city rivals, Dundee United.

Rangers’ supporter liaison officer has advised fans to allow extra time for travel ahead of the clash with Dundee United and to be prepared for quickly changing conditions but as of now no pitch inspection is planned at Ibrox.
