Did Kamala Harris Lie About 2 Pac? Toxic Donald Trump Supporters Will be Disappointed to Learn the Truth

With only a few days left for the election, the fight between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is at an all-time high. After a rigorous campaign that was filled with alleged assassination attempts, candidate changes, and controversial campaign issues, the biggest elections in the world seem to finally be on the horizon.

Along those lines, an old interview of VP Kamala Harris at The Breakfast Club has resurfaced. The interview reportedly saw her mention that she had used marijuana in college and that she listened to the music of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur. However, the phrasing of these two elements reportedly led to a huge misunderstanding.

Current VP and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris came under fire back in 2020 for revealing in an interview that she had tried marijuana while she was in college. In the interview with The Breakfast Club, she also revealed that her music preferences included Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, and Cardi B.

However, due to a misunderstanding, it was widely circulated that Harris allegedly said she listened to 2Pac and Snoop Dogg while she was in college. Many were quick to notice the discrepancy in the timeline with this, saying that 2Pac and Snoop Dogg had not even released music when Harris was in college.

The Internet went wild at the time, accusing Harris of lying for clout and disregarding her claim to the VP seat during the 2020 elections, which saw Donald Trump stand against the Democrats. Others tried to defend her, bringing up the timelines of her college tenure and 2Pac’s album releases.

The incident was also reportedly picked up by Fox News, which seemed to focus on the timeline discrepancy (via Reuters).

The biggest controversy that erupted from Kamala Harris’ 2020 interview with The Breakfast Club was her claim that she listened to the songs of Tupac Shakur while she was using marijuana back when she was in college. Many pointed out that when Harris was in college, Shakur had not had a breakthrough yet.

However, various outlets, including Reuters, have fact-checked the whole incident. According to Reuters’ report, Harris was asked by host DJ Envy about her music tastes while co-host Charlamagne The God chimed in with a question about her playlist while she used marijuana in college. The report claimed that Harris only answered DJ Envy.

The two hosts also clarified about the incident in an appearance on MSNBC. DJ Envy said,

I mean, we wanted to humanize her, not just talk about politics; talk about what she likes, what she does, and I asked what she listens to, and she said she listens to Snoop Dogg and Tupac. At the same time, my co-host was still talking about the marijuana and it was just a funny exchange, but she was actually answering me and people took it that she was answering Charlamagne and said she was lying which is not true.

The host also addressed Fox News’ run of the incident and said that they ‘absolutely positively lied’.
