COPS have launched a frantic search for a woman who vanished after a fitness class.
Holly Maxwell, 22, was last seen in Maybole, Ayrshire, around 11.30am yesterday.
Cops say she left home to attend a fitness class in Ayr but didn’t return home.
Her worried family raised the alarm in the evening after they failed to get hold of her.
Holly’s phone was found in her car, a plum-coloured Peugeot 107, which has since been traced to a supermarket car park on Castlehill Street, Ayr.
Police are becoming increasingly concerned for her whereabouts and are appealing to the public for any information.
Holly is described as being around 5ft 3in in height, with shoulder-length dyed copper/red hair in a bobbed style.
She was wearing a light teal/green hooded top, blue/navy leggings and lilac trainers.
Inspector Colin Thapar, Police Scotland Ayrshire Division, said: “Holly’s phone was also found in her car, so no one has any way of contacting her.
“It’s possible she has taken a train to Glasgow City Centre, but that has still to be confirmed. We are checking with colleagues at British Transport Police and in Glasgow City Centre but would also still ask local people in Ayr or the Maybole area to keep a look out for her.
“Holly is around 5ft 3in in height, has shoulder length dyed copper/red hair in a bobbed style with fringe, brown eyes, is of a medium build and was wearing a light teal/green hooded top, blue/navy leggings and lilac trainers.
“If you have seen Holly or have any information as to where she may be, then please call police.
“We’d also ask Holly to get in touch with her family to let them know she is safe and well.”
