EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) — The Lou Holtz Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame is getting in the holiday spirit.
It’s putting up the finishing touches on its Christmas Tree display ahead of Light Up Night in downtown East Liverpool.
More than 30 trees are decked out inside the historic building along Fifth Street in downtown, and each one has its own theme with a little flavor in the decorations.
The Hall of Fame’s tree display started three years ago and gets larger each holiday season. There’s a full display of events leading up to Light Up Night.
“We do all of this work so that people can come in and enjoy the trees. Last year we had over 250 people come in on the day of the Christmas parade. We’d like to top that number this year. So, we’ve added more trees and added more activities downtown to bring people downtown,” said Michelle Roberts with the Hall of Fame.
Light Up Night will be at 6 p.m. on Dec. 7 in downtown East Liverpool. It’ll open with a parade and feature the lighting of the city’s new Christmas Tree.
