Several people were displaced after a two-alarm fire at an apartment building in Hartford overnight on Sunday.
According to the Hartford Fire Department, firefighters responded at 1:12 a.m. to a structure fire at 69 Gillette St., a four-story apartment building in the city’s Asylum Hill neighborhood.
Firefighters located a second-floor fire and a second alarm was called due to the size of the building, officials said. The fire was extinguished quickly and contained to the apartment where the blaze started, according to fire officials.
One family, including four adults and two children were displaced, fire officials said. Hartford Fire Department’s Special Services Unit is working with the American Red Cross to assist the family.
The fire is under investigation by the city’s Fire Marshals office.
