SALINEVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – The 2023-24 season culminated in Southern achieving a league championship; the first in the program’s history. The Indians went onto accomplish another feat, back-to-back sectional crowns.

The team must move onto from a pair of 4-year letter winners – Josie Stanley and record-setting Ashley Shroades (25 ppg, 11 rpg).

Coach Michael Skrinjar welcomes back four starters Allysa Shroades (set school record for 3-pointers made, 51), Makenna Jones, Haylee Kellogg and Maddy Jones along with sophomore Raelea Carosiello.

Other letter winners include Rylee Digman, Hailey Maines, Addy Martin, Ava Reed, Lidia Spahlinger and Sarah Hawk.

Coach Skrinjar points to his team’s strengths, “[This group] has exceptional passion and determination, they’re fierce competitors with a ton of heart.
