AA Gent won 2-0 at home against KV Mechelen. The visitors had to continue with ten men just before half-time, but often appeared for an excellent Davy Roef. The Buffaloes are closing in on the broad top, but the score made the victory seem easier than it was. Striker Gudjohnsen made a negative impression during his short substitution.
