Accused tire dumper Mark Domascieno pleads not guilty to charges in Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man accused of dumping tires on Youngstown’s East Side appeared in Municipal Court on Friday and pleaded not guilty.

Mark Domascieno is facing misdemeanor charges, including littering.

On Monday, workers with the city’s Street Department reported seeing a man dumping tires on a vacant lot at the corner of Jacobs Road and Nelson Avenue.

He said he picked up the tires at a business in Sharon as a favor to them.

Police spoke with someone at the Sharon business, who reported that Domascieno told them that he had a used tire disposal company and that he charged them $3 per tire for their removal, according to the report.

Police found about 35 tires in the lot where they had reportedly been dumped.

The judge told Domascieno to return to court with an attorney.

Brian Oehlbeck contributed to this report.
