You do not run the risk of cancer by drinking tap water. This is assured by water-link, the largest producer of drinking water in Flanders. This is in response to a warning from the Dutch water sector that the Meuse, as a source of drinking water for seven million people, is not effectively protected against, among other things, the carcinogenic PFAS. 40% of Flemish drinking water comes indirectly from the Meuse.
