Alabama football didn’t want to just listen to “Jump Around” at Camp Randall Stadium. The Crimson Tide wanted to shut it down.
Alabama receiver Germie Bernard was asked postgame about the team making a statement vs. Wisconsin. He didn’t mince words.
“Honestly, we had a tough week of practice listening to that jump song,” Alabama receiver Germie Bernard said. “We was ready to just shut that weak-ass jump song down.”
Alabama cruised past Wisconsin 42-10 on Saturday, a rout of the first Power 4 opponent the Crimson Tide faced this season.
And not only did the Crimson Tide (3-0) make a statement, they enjoyed the Camp Randall tradition as well. When “Jump Around” began to play at the end of the third quarter, the Crimson Tide … jumped around.
“We were on the sideline jumping up and down, excited and enjoying the togetherness of our team,” Bernard said.
Alabama had reason to be excited, Bernard in particular. He scored his first touchdown with the Crimson Tide. The offense made big plays, and the defense grabbed takeaways. It resulted in a big road victory, the first of the Kalen DeBoer era at Alabama.
