Derrick Henry ran the Baltimore Ravens to a 35-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.
Henry’s game was so good that even when the former Alabama All-American messed up, it turned out right for the Ravens. On a second-and-goal snap at the Buffalo 1-yard line, Henry fumbled the football as he moving toward the goal line. Baltimore fullback Patrick Ricard recovered the loose football in the end zone for a touchdown with 11:23 left to play.
The play, though, kept Henry from becoming the sole owner of the NFL record for most 200-yard rushing games in regular-season play.
Henry finished the game with 199 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries and three receptions for 10 yards and one touchdown.
If Henry had carried the football into the end zone, he would have had a 200-yard game. If he had been charged with a fumble at the 1-yard line instead of the 2 (giving him minus-1 yard on the carry), he would have had a 200-yard game.
Henry, O.J. Simpson and Adrian Peterson are tied for the NFL record for 200-yard rushing games with six apiece.
The fumble also kept Henry from becoming the 26th player in NFL history with 100 touchdowns.
Henry scored his 98th touchdown on Baltimore’s first snap of the game, when he ran 87 yards to the end zone.

Henry scored in 99th touchdown on a 5-yard connection with quarterback Lamar Jackson five seconds into the second quarter.
Not only is Henry one touchdown from 100 in his career, he also needs only 18 rushing yards to become the 32nd player in NFL with 10,000.
