Alabama players show off dance moves during Wisconsin’s ‘Jump Around’ tradition

Alabama players show off dance moves during Wisconsin’s ‘Jump Around’ tradition

One of the great traditions in all of college football was dominated by the opponent on Saturday.

No. 4 Alabama, leading Wisconsin 35-10 heading into the fourth quarter at Camp Randall, stole the show when Badgers faithful heard House of Pain’s “Jump Around.”

A game tradition like few around the country, when the 1992 hit song blares, the stadium rocks like no other. Unlike some Saturdays, it appears the opponent enjoyed it more than those in attendance to cheer on the Badgers.

The Crimson Tide held a comfortable lead and started dancing with the rest of the stadium.

According to “College GameDay,” the tradition goes back to former Wisconsin tight end Ryan Sondrup. Sondrup interned in Wisconsin’s athletic department as a marketing intern after being out for the 1998 season because of an injury.

He offered up the idea as something different.
