Ryan Williams usually wears gloves during Alabama football games. But when he takes them off, you can see his painted nails.
Such was the case Friday after practice, when Williams spoke to reporters. The green was easy to notice.
Each of his nails were painted in a bright green.
“I wore these with my green suit,” Williams said. “We’ll change it up, pretty much every week.”
Williams has a reason for keeping them painted. A family reason.
“My little sister, she just loves doing nails,” Williams said, “and I support her fully.”
Williams has emerged quickly as a top weapon for the Crimson Tide and quarterback Jalen Milroe. Williams has caught 10 receptions for 285 yards and four touchdowns over three games. He’s been a key piece to Alabama’s 3-0 start.
He and the Crimson Tide are preparing for the biggest test yet, though.
No. 4 Alabama is set to face No. 1/2 Georgia on Saturday, Sept. 28 (6:30 p.m. CT, ABC) at Bryant-Denny Stadium. But this weekend, the Crimson Tide has an open date.
