American who put hundreds of thousands of AI songs on Spotify and listened to them with fake accounts faces 60 years in prison

Michael Smith (52) allegedly used artificial intelligence for seven years to generate hundreds of thousands of fake music tracks. He then used thousands of fake accounts and VPNs to listen to the tracks. He remained under the radar of the streaming platforms for years and collected more than ten million euros.
