Along with an initial $6 million commitment to support Hurricane Helene relief efforts, Walmart, Sam’s Club and the Walmart Foundation announced that they are accepting donations from customers through Oct. 13.
Walmart will be matching all donations provided by customers 1 to 1 up to $2.5 million, according to a release. Donations will be given to the American Red Cross.
Additionally, Walmart is working with nonprofits and suppliers to distribute resources to communities without access to power, according to a release. Those resources include free meals, WiFi hotspots, charging stations, and laundry and shower stations.
