ANYONE who’s played football has had this feeling.
Even the most mellow of players has one day felt like the referee was simply out to get them.
For Scotland hero James McFadden, that man was Andrew Dallas.
Even though it was another whistler who gave him an x-rated tongue lashing in the middle of a game.
During a debate on the Open Goal podcast, Motherwell legend Faddy recalled a match against Rangers whilst he was playing for the Steelmen when Willie Young was the man in the middle.
And at one point he’d simply had enough of McFadden’s mouth.

McFadden said: “Referees had every reason not to like me. I was a wee a*******.
“Willie Young called me a w***** on the pitch.
“We were playing Rangers at Ibrox and we won a free-kick.
“Derek Adams was trying to take the free-kick. I’d got fouled but I was still arguing with Willie.
“Derek asked him ‘can we take it quick?’ and Willie replied ‘you can take it once this w***** shuts up!’
“I snapped, I was like ‘you can’t call me that!'”
However, it wasn’t Young who McFadden claims had a genuine issue with him.
That man was Andrew Dallas.
McFadden was sent off by Dallas after receiving two bookings from him during a match for St Johnstone against Hamilton in 2016.
“Andrew Dallas definitely had it in for me,” he said.
“He sent me off. I don’t know why.
“He squared up to me on the pitch, aye.”
Fellow guest Gordon Dalziel then interjected: “He’s Motherwell supporter,” alluding to McFadden’s association with the Fir Park club.

But Faddy was having none of it, as he responded: “I don’t give a f***!
“That game it definitely felt like he had it in for me.”
