The local population of a wildlife reserve in Cameroon has largely exchanged commercial hunting of gorillas and chimpanzees for other sources of income, such as cocoa farming or fishing. The awareness-raising project that saved this result was initiated by scientists from Antwerp Zoo and Planckendael Zoo.
