The Az-Tech Trail is one of the levels in Astro Bot’s Gorilla Nebula, an Aztec-inspired stage with lush green fields, caves, and, of course, lots of fun and nostalgia-inducing collectibles.
If you are looking for all the Az-Tech Trail collectible locations, this Astro Bot collectible guide has you covered. With seven bots, three jigsaw pieces, and one black hole, there is a lot to uncover.
Tip: When you’re looking for the bots, keep your eyes and ears open, as you might hear them calling for you. And if you don’t find them all on your first try, you can unlock a helpful little birdie on your second playthrough that will highlight hidden locations.
Bot #1: The First of the Az-Tech Trail Collectible Locations
After starting the Az-Tech Trail level in Astro Bot, head across the moving platforms toward the ladybug. Punch it to flip it on its back next to the platform to your left. Bounce up to find the first bot under the tree. Punch the bot to rescue it.
Bot #2
After coming out of the cave with your brand-new punching gloves, turn to your right and jump down onto the platform below. Punch the red square and pull it open to reveal a cave with a bot hiding inside.
Bot #3
Right after rescuing the second bot, jump back up and defeat the cactus. Then head to your right and punch the wooden crate with the acorns to find the third of the Astro Bot collectibles.
Jigsaw Piece #1
Besides the bots, many of the Astro Bot collectible locations hide jigsaw pieces. You can use these at the Crash Site to complete puzzles and reveal their images.
You’ll find one of these Az-Tech Trail collectible locations shortly after rescuing the third bot. After swinging across the red sticky pole, turn to the left. Punch the red sticky square and pull it open until water comes spewing out, which will reveal the jigsaw piece.
The Black Hole
Some of the rarer Gorilla Nebula collectible locations hide black holes. Jumping through these will take you to the Lost Galaxy with its own set of levels.
You’ll find the first black hole in the cave with the Russian doll. After defeating it, punch the lower two torches on the wall. Then punch the red sticky square to your right, which will make a ladybug appear. Flip it and bounce on it to destroy the top two torches on the wall. This will reveal the black hole.
Note that jumping through the black hole will end this level and take you to a completely new area of the game. Your progress will be saved, so you can return to visit all the remaining Az-Tech Trail collectible locations.
Bot #4
After leaving the cave, you’ll see a red sticky pad to your left and a golden door to your right. Punch the golden door by pressing R2 and L2 to open it up and find the bot hiding behind it.
Bot #5
After shooting through the air with the slingshot, defeat the two Russian dolls. Use the blue jumping pad to jump onto the platform to your left. Defeat yet another Russian doll, then punch the tree to save the bot.
Jigsaw Piece #2
After the area where you defeated the two Russian dolls, jump up to where the checkpoint marker is, then face to the right.
Punch the red pad in the monkey’s face to reveal new platforms. Jump up, and you’ll find the second jigsaw piece on the top.
Bot #6
At the next checkpoint marker, you’ll see moving platforms with monkey faces carved into the stone. Get closer to reveal a red sticky square. Punch and then pull it to find bot number six hiding inside.
Jigsaw Piece #3
After rescuing bot number six, swing across the red sticky poles. Above the next checkpoint marker, you’ll see a jigsaw piece in a hole in the wall. Swing on the pole, then hold X to get to it.
Bot #7
On the platform with the big slingshot, head to the left and jump up. Pull the red patch on the monkey’s face open and walk through its mouth to land in a hidden level. Make it across the platforming sequence to the top to find the last of the Az-Tech Trail collectible locations and bot number seven.
