As you play the Lost Galaxy levels, you will find collectibles. Astro Bot places a strong emphasis on obtaining all of these collectibles in order to enjoy each of the carefully placed references made by the studio within the game.
In the second bonus level you can unlock, there are a total of seven collectibles to find, divided into five bots and two puzzle pieces. This is a guide to the Fan Club collectible locations. You’ll find a hidden Lost Galaxy portal in each of the five main groups of levels, allowing you to rescue even more bots and expand your collection.
Bot 1
In this Lost Galaxy level in Astro Bot, holding the trigger controls the fans. If you hold it down, the fan will stay down, and if you release it, it will quickly rise. In the first part of the level, before continuing to the right to follow the correct path, you should use a fan to go left to a hidden area.
When you reach the platform, the first of the five bots to rescue will appear. This is one of the several collectible locations in Fan Club.
Bot 2 (Abe Bot from Oddworld)
After rescuing the first bot, continue to the right, and you’ll enter an area with various fans that you’ll need to jump across. At one point, you’ll encounter a wall of fans, with two activated fans on the left. By pulling the trigger, you’ll lower all the fans, and at that point on the left side, you’ll be able to access a platform behind the fans, which is also a fan.
By jumping on that fan, you’ll quickly reach a metal platform where the second of the five bots to save will be located. This bot is notable in that it references the Oddworld franchise, specifically the character Abe.
Bot 3
Once you exit this area, you’ll arrive at an outdoor section where a UFO will attempt to shoot at you while it plays its guitar. In this area, you must stand on the metal platform and attempt to hit it in the air.
Once you’ve defeated it, you must rescue the third of the five bots before proceeding further. This bot can be found on the ground, beneath some leaves, just to the right of the platform where you need to continue progressing in the game.
Puzzle Piece 1
After rescuing the third bot, proceed to the right where a floating platform containing the first puzzle piece is located. As you try to reach it, a UFO will automatically appear and carry the piece upwards.
If you clear the leaves in that area, you’ll see a cable you can pull to make a fan platform appear. By using it, you’ll reach another metal platform above, where you can hit the UFO and finally retrieve the first puzzle piece, adding to your growing collection in Astro Bot.
Bot 4 (Mudokon Bot)
Continuing through the level, you’ll reach a section with a platform made up of many fans side by side, which you can activate and deactivate as needed. On this platform, you’ll see a UFO floating, carrying the fourth of the five bots available at this level.
You’ll need to activate the platform at the right moment to hit the UFO in the air and rescue this bot in distress. This bot also belongs to the Oddworld world, resembling a Mudokon minion.
Puzzle Piece 2
After rescuing the Mudokon Bot by activating the platform at the right time, head to the left side of this same platform, where you’ll see a large metal rectangle floating.
By jumping to the left and activating the platform at the right moment. You’ll be able to land on this piece of metal, where you’ll find a cable buried in the ground. Pulling this cable will reveal the second and final puzzle piece of Fan Club’s collectibles.
Bot 5 (Mudokon Bot)
Once you’ve passed this section, you’ll continue with what’s left of the level until you reach a fan platform with movable walls above it that will likely crush you if you don’t jump at the right moment.
After activating the fan platform at the right time, you’ll reach the top of the level, where you can exit to finally complete Fan Club. However, before doing so, look around the platform.
An enemy will be pursuing another Mudokon Bot. Once you defeat the enemy, you’ll be able to rescue this final bot, leaving the level with all the collectibles.
