After completing all the levels in Gorilla Nebula, you can unlock the Tentacle System, which has new levels to explore and will start to raise the bar of difficulty and level design. This means a whole new set of collectibles to find. Astro Bot has 10 collectibles in total to acquire in the first level of the Tentacle System.
Following the formula from the previous set of levels, there are at least seven bots in this level, along with three puzzle pieces, among other secrets that you can find by paying attention. These are all the Go-Go Archipelago collectibles.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Puzzle Piece 1
As in Gorilla Nebula, Astro Bot once again challenges players to see if they’re attentive enough to collect all the collectibles that will be filling every level.
Right at the start of this level, when you’re flying with the DualSense, you’ll need to tilt to the left because there’s a bird holding the first puzzle piece. If you miss it, you’ll need to restart Go-Go Archipelago. This is the first of three puzzle pieces in the level.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Bot 1
As soon as you land, head to the right side of the level, which may seem larger than it actually is, but it still offers plenty of interactions to discover and enjoy thanks to the outstanding work of Team Asobi.
Ascending to the right, you’ll encounter a jumpable stone dolphin. Climb up to find the first rescuable bot behind it. After defeating three enemies, you’ll tie it to a tree. The Go-Go Archipelago in the Tentacle System has a total of seven bots to rescue.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Bot 2
As you begin your ascent at the start of the level to gather the remaining Go-Go Archipelago collectibles, turn left to locate the second bot that awaits your rescue; this particular bot is just chilling alongside a fire with a lovely otter bot.
While there are still five bots to rescue, this one presents a relatively straightforward task due to its lack of enemy surroundings. The level features a lot of visual detail, making it one of the most beautiful in the game.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Puzzle Piece 2
Once you officially start the level, you’ll acquire an ability that will be crucial for progressing and completing the Go-Go Archipelago. You’ll use the DualSense’s gyroscope to climb.
After passing one of the first right checkpoints, you’ll see a two-handed clam. Inside, you’ll find stones. Pick one up and tilt it to the right to reveal a wall that is ready for destruction. Once broken, you’ll access the second puzzle piece.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Bot 3
To find the third bot in the Go-Go Archipelago, you’ll need to backtrack a bit. Instead of advancing, head left, defeat a couple of enemies, and activate a platform with both hands.
Then, climb up to find a clam, which you’ll open with both hands to free the third of the 7 bots in this level. The Tentacle System is one of Astro Bot’s most versatile groups of levels, filled with all kinds of original mechanics.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Bot 4 (Yorda Bot)
Ico also makes a cameo in Astro Bot, the mythical game from Fumito Ueda, the creator of Shadow of the Colossus. Yorda, one of Ico’s main characters, has a commemorative bot to save.
To rescue this fourth bot, follow the path until you find Yorda trapped in a cage. Use your monkey power to break the floor with both hands, then descend to rescue Yorda without much difficulty. In that same area, you’ll have another bot to rescue.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Bot 5
Once you’ve rescued Yorda Bot, proceed to your right, where you’ll encounter a massive rock that requires you to use both hands with the monkey ability. Walk to the stone platform’s edge and throw the rock at a wall; the game will mark where you must throw it.
This will unlock an area where you’ll need to find the loose stone and push it all using DualSense features. Pushing the stone will reveal the fifth bot, ready for rescue.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Bot 6 (Ico Bot)
After climbing a platform and reaching a checkpoint, look back before advancing as you continue through the level. With the monkey power, jump down and press a button using both hands.
This will unlock a cable that takes you to a distant ledge with several enemies to defeat. Climb up, and you’ll find another button to activate with both hands. Before you press the button, you’ll notice the Ico bot hanging, awaiting your rescue. After activating the button, return to the main platform.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Bot 7
Once you’ve returned to the main platform after saving the Ico bot, proceed to advance through the level. Climb up the next platform after reaching the checkpoint, and near the end of the level, you’ll see a barrel with a cable to pull on the right side.
This will unlock the final bot, which is part of the Go-Go Archipelago collectibles. Note that there’s a mini-boss to defeat before exiting the level.
Go-Go Archipelago Collectible Locations: Puzzle Piece 3
Once you’ve opened the barrel with the last bot, continue forward a short distance. Head left before using both hands to reveal one of the final walls to climb, where a giant rock awaits your grab.
Once you grab the rock, tilt it slightly to the right and throw it against a wall that the game will highlight. After breaking the wall, you’ll find the third and final puzzle piece of the level. This will be the last collectible in the Go-Go Archipelago that isn’t a secret.
Lost Galaxy
As mentioned earlier, there’s a mini-boss in this level. Once defeated, you can exit the level. However, before doing so, you’ll notice that the boss’s claws remain scattered around the level.
One claw will be near the exit platform, and another will be a bit further back. Return to the second claw, and there will be a small crack in the floor. To rotate and unlock a secret passage to the Lost Galaxy, hold down square.
